Dr. Rahban is an investigator for the California Medical Board. As an investigator, he is entrusted to defend the stringent standards of the CMB. He has been involved in countless investigations, always providing his medical insight to help the Board determine the outcome. Training
He graduated from the University of California at San Diego medical school, having completed his undergraduate education at University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. After medical school, Dr. Rahban completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California. Because of his language abilities, he was in demand as a translator in medical missions across the border in Mexico.
From there, Dr. Rahban returned to Los Angeles for a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California. During this time, he had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected surgeons in this field, earning experience that would prove crucial in his career. As an example, Dr. Rahban worked with the prestigious surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher, who was on ABC’s Extreme Makeover. An internationally renowned surgeon, Dr. Fisher offered Dr. Rahban invaluable training in many complex techniques in cosmetic surgery, which Dr. Rahban uses to this day. Since that time, Dr. Rahban has expanded and developed these techniques. With that in mind, patients are assured of exactness and precision throughout the entire surgical process.

Volunteer Work
Every year, Dr. Rahban uses his expertise to create renewed joy and beauty with volunteer missions to impoverished countries in Latin America. During missions with HELPS International and Operation Smile, Dr. Rahban and his surgical team perform cleft lip and palate reconstruction and burn reconstruction surgeries. The team brings most of their own equipment and supplies, donated from local hospitals.

Dr. Rahban is an avid photographer and painter and has an aesthetic eye. For many years he’s been doing photography as a passion. Many patients feel that his aesthetic eye in photography is what allows him to get the amazing and natural results he is known for. Feel free to visit his photographs.
Despite the fact that plastic surgery deals very much with one’s physical appearance, Dr. Rahban believes in a mind, body and soul approach to life. While he is fascinated with all aspects of aesthetics, he believes spiritual happiness is a crucial key to getting the most out of life. He maintains a significant connection with his religion, and he hopes that others have a similar connection with a higher spirituality.
In addition to being an avid participant in meditation, Dr. Rahban regularly competes in triathlons. Both activities allow him to explore his limits and push them beyond their natural boundaries. By growing as an individual, he becomes a more competent surgeon, never compromising his technique for the low road. He holds a high standard in every aspect of his life, which transfers directly to the operating room where he gives his patients a level of care that many would reserve solely for their closest loved ones.
